Dr. Alex Gilmore DVM PhD
Hello I am Dr. Alexandra Gilmore and moved to Waiheke Island in 2014. I’m originally from Germany (I graduated in Germany 2004), but to combine my passion for traveling and veterinary I became a vet here in New Zealand. The path to come here wasn`t always easy, as I had to re-sit all my veterinary exams and fight a battle…
Dr. Paulina Cajas
Veterinarian
Paulina comes to us from Chile! Paulina has been a qualified vet since 2011. She has a keen interest in cats and small animals in general, and is a member of the International Society of Feline Medicine.
Dr. Emma Sanders
Veterinarian
Hi, I’m Emma – a 2024 BVSc Graduate from Massey University and originally from Whangārei. I’ve had a lifelong passion for animals and the people who care for them, which makes living and working here on beautiful Waiheke especially exciting.

Briar Scott
Briar is training as a nurse and Front of house staff. Briar and her family live on Waiheke and have for a while now. We meet Briar following an emergency after hours call out for her pet Rabbit and she stayed with us as she fits the team well.
Tory O’Brien
Tory has just joined the team and is training to become a nurse. She has a passion for horses and has been heavily involved with horses and horse trekking on Waiheke.
Naomi Bradley
Naomi joined the team in 2023 and is our Practice Manager. She has roots on another Pacific island too -Fiji..

We have two operating rooms and its adjoining facilities, such as the recovery room and scrub room.
Treatment Room
The treatment room has been newly renovated to better accommodate the increasing demand for space and advanced treatment facilities.
Consultation Rooms
There are 3 rooms that are used by vets to consult. Each is equipped with an examination table.
